Catherine G. Derington, PharmD, MS
Dr. Katie Derington is an Assistant Professor in the University of Colorado Division of Cardiology and a clinical pharmacist specializing in cardiovascular outcomes research. Her work focuses on optimizing hypertension and cardiovascular treatment, improving care delivery, and using real-world data to enhance medication use and patient outcomes. She earned her PharmD from the University of Colorado, completed a pharmacy practice residency at The Ohio State University, and advanced training in clinical science and outcomes research through a Master’s degree and fellowship at CU and Kaiser Permanente Colorado. Dr. Derington has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications, primarily in cardiometabolic disease, and is dedicated to simplifying hypertension care and reducing barriers to effective, evidence-based treatment.
