Dana R. Bowers, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP
Dr. Dana R. Bowers is an Associate Professor at Washington State University College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Spokane, Washington. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from WSU and completed a pharmacy practice residency at Providence St. Peter Hospital, followed by an infectious diseases research fellowship at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy with Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center.
Dr. Bowers previously served as an infectious diseases clinical specialist, co-founded and co-directed an antimicrobial stewardship program, and led clinical pharmacy services in Arizona. She also established and directed a pharmacy residency program.
Since joining WSU in 2017, she has taught across the PharmD curriculum, including pharmacokinetics and infectious diseases pharmacotherapy. Her work focuses on antimicrobial stewardship and evidence-based management of infectious diseases, with contributions to book chapters and peer-reviewed literature.
